What this chapter covers

Place Sweden in the wider world through Nordic cooperation, the European Union, the United Nations and NATO. These organisations have different members, purposes and ways of making decisions. The chapter also connects security policy with total defence.

Make a comparison as you read: which organisation is involved, what can it decide, and what remains a Swedish responsibility? Keep the Nordic Council separate from the Nordic Council of Ministers.
