How the language works
Modal verbs: kan, vill, måste, får, ska
Modal verbs take second position and are followed by the main verb in the infinitive without 'att': Jag kan jobba. Jag vill jobba. Jag måste jobba. Jag får jobba (I am allowed). Jag ska jobba (plan). Kan = ability/possibility, vill = wish, måste = necessity, får = permission, ska = plan/future. The negation 'inte' comes after the modal: Jag kan inte jobba i morgon. Questions: Kan du jobba? Måste jag komma?
