News: Midsummer celebrations in town

Nyhetsuppläsare: I morgon är det midsommarafton, och kommunen bjuder in till firande i Stadsparken. Klockan tretton klär man midsommarstången tillsammans, och alla är välkomna att hjälpa till med blommor och löv. Klockan fjorton börjar dansen runt stången, med musik av ett lokalt folkmusikband. Det finns fika och grillad korv att köpa, men kommunen tipsar om att ta med egen filt och picknick. Programmet är gratis. Observera att de flesta butiker stänger tidigt i morgon, ofta redan klockan tretton, och att systembolaget är stängt hela dagen. Bussarna går enligt helgtidtabell. SMHI lovar sol och tjugotvå grader, men det kan komma en regnskur på eftermiddagen.

Tomorrow is Midsummer's Eve, and the municipality invites everyone to celebrations in the City Park. At 13.00 the maypole is dressed together, and everyone is welcome to help with flowers and leaves. At 14.00 the dancing around the pole begins, with music from a local folk band. Coffee and cake and grilled sausages are for sale, but the municipality suggests bringing your own blanket and picnic. The programme is free. Note that most shops close early tomorrow, often as early as 13.00, and that Systembolaget is closed all day. Buses run on the weekend timetable. SMHI promises sun and twenty-two degrees, but there may be a shower in the afternoon.
