Check the evidence before planning a test
A language grade and a civics grade answer different requirements. Start with Migrationsverket’s current evidence list. SFI D can show Swedish knowledge; it does not automatically replace the civics test.
Study in Swedish, with support when you need it
Read a short section of Sverige i fokus, explain its main idea in your own words, then try questions in Swedish. Use an explanation in your preferred language to understand a difficult concept and return to the Swedish wording. Include history as well as present-day institutions.
Practice settings are not official specifications
UHR confirms a Swedish paper test with four options and one correct answer. It has not announced the next sitting’s question count, time limit or a pass mark. Timed practice can help you build a routine, but a practice score cannot predict an official result.
Use the official booking instructions
Registration is closed as checked on 3 October 2026. Migrationsverket decides who may take the test and sends the referral. When a sitting opens, follow UHR’s instructions for the account, identification and any support needs. Do not book travel around an unannounced sitting.
After the August pilot
UHR expects the August 2026 pilot results in late October and reports them automatically to Migrationsverket. The exact result date is not announced. After an unsuccessful result, contact Migrationsverket about another opportunity to show knowledge; a retake is not an automatic open booking.
