How many days of annual leave per leave year are the general rule under the Annual Leave Act in 2026?
Correct answer: 25 days
The general rule is 25 days, but someone starting after 31 August has only five statutory days that leave year. Special exceptions also apply to certain short jobs and upper-secondary apprenticeship employment. Entitlement to leave does not mean every day is paid.
